School may be starting up again soon, but summer is far from over, so our love for summer sippers continues with this Spiked Raspberry Lemonade!
To make this cocktail for National Lemonade Day on 8/20, combine 2 oz. of Rum 44, 1 oz. of fresh lemon juice, 1.25 oz. of raspberry simple syrup, and 3 oz. of water in a shaker. Add ice, then shake hard. Strain into a tall cocktail glass filled with crushed or pebbled ice. Garnish with a lemon peel and a fresh raspberry.
Need to make a raspberry simple syrup? In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a light simmer, then turn off the heat. Add 1 cup of sugar and one pint of rinsed raspberries to the pan, stirring and muddling the raspberries in the water as it cools. Strain the raspberries from the syrup before using. Store the syrup in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to one week.

Looking for an easy way to incorporate your fresh-picked blueberries into a cocktail? We’ve got a Blueberry Daiquiri you can make right at home!
First, you’ll want to make blueberry simple syrup. In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of fresh rinsed blueberries, 1 cup of water, and 1 cup of sugar to a quick boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes. Press on the blueberries as they soften to release flavor and coloring. After 10 minutes, strain all the fruit pulp from the syrup. Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
To make the cocktail, add 2 oz. of Rum 44, 3/4 oz. of blueberry simple syrup, and 3/4 oz. of fresh lime juice into a shaker. Add ice, then shake for about 15 seconds. Strain into a chilled daiquiri coupe, and garnish with a row of fresh blueberries. Enjoy!

We love a Bourbon Spritz, because it’s a flavorful and colorful cocktail combining our Straight Bourbon with Aperol and Prosecco. To make one from home, combine 1.5 oz. of Straight Bourbon, 1 oz. of Aperol, and 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice in a large wine glass over ice. Top with Prosecco, then garnish with an orange wheel. Cheers!

We have another raspberry season sipper to share with you!
This is our Boozy Pink Lemonade, available at our Burlington Tasting Room this week only (until 8/1) with our house made raspberry syrup. If you aren’t able to stop in, below we share how you can make this from home.
To make the raspberry syrup:
Bring 1 cup of water to just under a simmer. Stir in 1 cup of sugar and a half pint of fresh Raspberries. Turn off the heat and stir frequently, mashing up the raspberries. Strain well when cool, and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.
To make the Boozy Pink Lemonade:
Combine 1.5 oz. of our Corn Whisky (or Straight Bourbon), 1/2 oz. of raspberry syrup, and 5-6 oz. of Newmans Own Organic Lemonade in a shaker with ice. Shake lightly, then strain into a glass over ice. Garnish with fresh raspberries and some lemon wheels. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:
-2 oz. of Rum 44 or First Run Rum
-1.5 oz. of cream of coconut
-1.5 oz. of fresh pineapple juice
-½ oz. of fresh lime juice
INSTRUCTIONS:
In a shaker, combine the rum, cream of coconut, pineapple juice and lime juice. Add ice, then shake for about 30 seconds. Strain into a chilled glass over crushed or pebbled ice. Garnish with a twist of lime, and enjoy!
